Leavenworth Neighborhood Association

What We Do:

The LNA has a number of committees that take on various projects to support the people living in our neighborhood and to improve our environment.  Some of these projects include:

J   Christmas Cheer: We provide a gift bag full of goodies to every child at Jackson School each year during the holidays.

J   Parks: We plant and maintain beautiful neighborhood gardens, as well as hold annual clean ups of parks in the area.

J   Neighborhood Watch: We keep an eye on the neighborhood and work cooperatively with the Omaha Police Department to address criminal activities, including graffiti.

J   Connections: We stay connected with other neighborhood organizations, including Destination Midtown, Midtown Neighborhood Alliance and the South Omaha Neighborhood Association.

J   Fun: We enjoy the company of our neighbors through events such as Truck or Treat at Halloween, our National Night Out Neighborhood Picnic in August, and a Chili Feed in February.

J   Spring Clean Up: We organize an annual clean up day in conjunction with the city each spring so that individuals can get rid of all their junk that has been piling up over the winter.

J   Jackson School: We support Jackson School staff and students through staff appreciation dinners, donations and activities.
